The Project
This multidisciplinary initiative aims to integrate genetically encoded biosensors into iPSC-derived organoids and OOC platforms. The position will work on pioneering a new generation of trackable OOC systems to streamline cell production and high-throughput drug testing within an autonomous discovery framework.
Key Responsibilities
Genetic Engineering: Design and construct transposon-based and CRISPR/Cas9-based systems for stable biosensor expression in iPSCs.
Biosensor Validation: Characterize models using real-time fluorescence imaging.
OOC Integration: Incorporate engineered iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and macrophages into microfluidic OOC models.
Qualifications
PhD in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Synthetic Biology, or a related field.
Strong expertise in molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas9, and iPSC culture/differentiation.
Experience with fluorescence imaging and microfluidics/OOC is highly desirable.
